An Homage to Dickens

It’s only been recently that I’ve read anything by Charles Dickens. I started with Great Expectations. I thought it was clever and funny, and full of amusing, interesting characters. Then I read A Tale of Two Cities, and fell completely in love with it. I love the history, the love triangle, the relationship between Lucie and Dr. Manette, and most of all, I just love Dickens and his way with words. Update – 2016 Reading Challenge!

A book based on a fairy tale – The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee AhdiehI finished this one pretty early this year. I was surprised at how much I liked it, especially since it was kind of hard for me to get into at first. I think the story was great; it was sort of a remake of Arabian Nights, I think. 2016 Reading Challenge

Every year, I do some sort of reading challenge. In 2015, I found the 2015 Popsugar Reading Challenge. I didn’t complete it – I met 40 out of 50 requirements, which I thought was pretty good!
